Attending Kindergarten is a great way for children to get used to a school environment on a part-time basis before starting their compulsory education in Pre-Primary.
The Spring Hill Primary School Kindy program is designed to help each child develop and grow to their full potential. We aim to develop the whole child and use children’s interests, strengths and needs to drive the curriculum. Teaching practises are guided by the Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines (WA) and Early Years Learning Framework, the national early childhood curriculum. The curriculum is based on three key statements.
- Belonging – Children being connected to family, culture and place.
- Being – Children need opportunities to seek and make meaning of their world.
- Becoming – identifies children’s knowledge, understanding, capacities, skills and relationships.
At Spring Hill Primary School, Kindy students attend five days a fortnight; either Monday, Tuesday and alternate Wednesdays or Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesdays.
Kindergarten Applications open Monday 15th April 2024 and close Friday 19th July for the 2025 school year.
