Parents & Community - Message from the P & C Committee

FROM THE COMMITTEE

The Spring Hill Primary School Parents and Citizens Association Inc. strives to enjoy a strong parent and community involvement in Spring Hill Primary School.  The P&C is made up of an active and productive group of parents who work in partnership with the school an organize social and fundraising activities.

The various sub-committees include the Uniform Shop, Canteen, Fundraising, Fathering Project and Road Safety.

The fundraising events have allowed the school to purchase equipment and improve facilities that otherwise would not have been covered in the school's budget.  In recent times significant funds have enabled the purchase of playground equipment and a shade structure, PA Systems including the large overhead projector in the Undercover area, Library equipment and furniture, sporting equipment, uniforms, shade tents, Choir uniforms and a fantastic buggy the gardener can use to get equipment out to the oval for the children.  We believe that these additional resources enhance your child's early learning outcomes and contribute to their academic and social accomplishments, both in the short and long term.

All parents, guardians and members of the community are welcome to attend P&C meetings. The meetings are held on weeks 3 & 7 of each Term in the Staff Room, commencing at 7:00pm. The P&C Newsletter is distributed twice a term via the school communication systems.

Research tells us that parental involvement in school has a positive impact on student learning and engagement.  If you are new to Spring HIll Primary School we wish you a very warm welcome and if you have already been associated with the school for a while, please consider becoming involved in the P&C - we would love to have you on board!
