Parents & Community - Court Orders

The school must be made aware of any court orders that relate to the care of children and provide a copy of those court orders to the Principal.

This is necessary to ensure that the child is always in the care of the parent given the authority. The school treats all such cases confidentially.

The school records parenting arrangements and responsibilities to ensure the welfare of the child is always prioritised.

If no court orders are in place it is considered that both parents have equal parental responsibility or their children – this includes day-to-day and long-term decisions for the child.
